This is exactly what I think.

Why would anybody believe that one is more likely to find drug dealers at a gun show than at the mall?

What better way to slap charges on someone running drugs, possibly felons, who you can't get drug charges to stick to than finding them potentially buying a firearm illegaly.

Obviously scanning god knows how many license plates at god knows how many gun shows to look for a handful of people would be a pretty inefficient use of resources and is kind of dumb when you think it through. And, wow, what do you know, they never did it.

Sorry to tell you this but your plate likely has already been read. Either at the mall, your driveway, you mistresses driveway, a gun show, Army surplus store, Subway, etc. Its ok though. Unless your plate is reported in a crime or is read during an investigation of vehicle frequenting a dope house, nobody is coming knocking on your door.

Cant believe how many people are freaking over their license plate being read in a parking lot and being stored in a database. OMg someone else could get ahold of it in 10 years and know I drove a F-150 and was at a gun show
