Never had that one, what's in it?

Also, i'm more of a fresh fish kind of guy, i don't like all the crunchies and shite that goes on some rolls.

I don't know where it ranks, but I've never been disappointed at Wahada.

Wahada isn't bad for a quick cheap meal. Didn't someone just ask for a recommendation for that? Wahada is good for that. Or Ginza on Sherwood. Those are both inexpensive.

Wahada offers a combo special at dinner that is $14? $16? and a TON of food.

As far as lunch goes, all of the places offer lunch combos that are far cheaper than dinner.

i'll probably get laughed at, but tiger sushi on Sherwood and coursey has a few of those "busy" rolls that are awesome. specifically the lava roll and the titan roll.

Wahada sushi on Nicholson is all about sauces and toppings and fried. It's not healthy but damn is it good
Edit: yea when it comes to sushi I don't care at all about tasting fresh fish or lighter tastes. There are some foods that I prefer to be refined, sushi just isn't one of them

Ichibans has always been by go to.

Wahada may not be upscale or have the perfect atmosphere. But the people there know my face and I've always had a good meal.

No, but it is an all you can eat place, that serves via menu. Food is decent, fish is ok. Dinner is more expensive than lunch, but dinner has more roll options. If you are a big sushi eater but don't need high quality fish, it is a decent place for the money.

I gotta say that I like the Wongs at Ichiban ahead of Derek Chang by a hair but they are all good people.

Wahada is the best sushi in Baton Rouge after 10 pm. It's my go to for a late dinner

Fair enough.

It's not about being healthy, as I'm not much of a healthy eater. The heavy mayo and fried stuff combined with rice just makes me feel like shite

Maybe it's because my best friend works there and he just picks everything out for me and brings it (no rolls), but I think Masa is pretty good.

I'll admit, though, the off-menu "special" thing he had made for me the other day blew all the menu stuff out of the water.

It isn't the best in town, but if you are a crunchy roll type and you like a lot, it's more than fine.

I personally order several orders of all the raw apps.
