Tilting it does change the angle at which you view the screen, but it does nothing to the angle at which you must look up to see the TV.

Hell, you could put the TV on the ceiling and have it tilted down at you, but you'd still have to look up to see it.

This is mine and the viewing angle sucks. Too high because the room isn't big enough. Good thing I'm moving.
