The heat level of Sriracha

I was watching an old episode of Chopped last night. One of the basket ingredients was Sriracha. Jeffrey Zacharian was taking some chef to task for using too much Sriracha. Zacharian said that Sriracha is a very powerful hot sauce and should only be used in small amounts (or something to that effect).
I find Sriracha to be not as hot as other sauces, like the Louisiana cayenne based hot sauces for example. That makes sense to me since Sriracha is made from red jalapenos and they are not as hot as cayenne peppers. But I've heard other people say this too, that Sriracha is really hot, almost like they're afraid of it.
What is your opinion on how hot it is?

Not too hot, never cooked with it though

It's about as hot as Alex Guarnaschelli.

I don't think it's hot at all. Basically just Asian ketchup.

Some people are major pussies when it comes to heat. Sriracha is not that hot

Bro, I soak my contacts in sirracha overnight and use it to shave my balls.

If I am making a Chopped level dish I think it should be used sparingly.
Doesn't matter the heat, hot sauce should never be the focus of a dish.

That might explain why I prefer Crystal over Tabasco.

Hot is relative to each person. I don't think it's hot though.

Don't think it's very hot, but find that too much of it changes the flavor of the entire meal.. in a bad way

Maybe they didn't mean powerful in heat, but in flavor. It packs a lot of flavor and can overwhelm a dish.
