Recommendations for trigger (job)

Savage axis 30-06 that doesn't have accutrigger. I need a recommendation for a trigger for it. I watched a video on cutting a ring or two off the trigger spring but I'm not real confident on the safety of doing that.
Savage donesnt sell the accutrigger separately and it doesn't matter anyway because (from what I've read) you can't retrofit if it didn't come installed from the factory.

Yeah I got that far from your info
I was going to say you could try bayou teche guns in Arnaudville. They do really good work so long as you aren't in a rush to get it back. I'm not certain if they work on Savages but I can't really imagine that they wouldn't. Mike the owner is building me a custom 700 once I get all my parts in

There's a guy in Oregon that does incredible trigger jobs. I can't remember the name of his outfit now for some reason. He was brought up in a trigger conversation last weekend.

Blaze, There you go again w/ those really neat gun builds! Funny, but I'm about to order a 20 Vartarg barrel from McGowen for a Savage Striker handgun switch barrel project. What are you going to do for 221 Fireball brass? It's been nearly 2 years since I saw any Remington factory brass available. I saw some Lapua for the first time at Midwayusa for the first time earlier this week. Hoping I can get my project done in time for a prairie dog hunt this summer.

I bought 400 pcs of Lapua which will last me an eternity , I'm not a high volume shooter . Powder Valley had brass @ .60 each , I'm expecting 40-50 reloads for each piece of brass. Stiller TAC 30 , single shot action will be the foundation of this build

I'm not a gunsmith, but I've worked on the triggers of some of my own guns; I've never felt comfortable cutting coils off a trigger spring. I'd rather buy a replacement spring than cut springs. If you have a modicum of tinkering skills and are careful, there're usually a few things a gun owner can do to help his trigger. If you're interested in some DIY ideas that don't use cutting the spring, check this out.
Savage Edge trigger job
There's usually a LOT of info about Savage guns at Savage Shooters
