Russian,
Glad you reconsidered. See my comments in the game thread.

I'm playing the long game on the market watch game and my retirement portfolio.
My IRL UGAZ money is all short term and only play money.

Glad you're back. I figured I wouldn't deprive my students anymore and actually teach instead of passing out worksheets.

I'm confused, you won't play stocks you trade in real life? Does that mean I cant play trade stocks I audit ?

I'm confused why you're confused.

I just don't get what you are saying in the op. I have no background in why you weren't playing in the first place if that helps.
Or maybe I just don't get how a pricing disparity between the game and your Schwab account has any impact on the game.

Ahh makes much more sense. I guess I missed it, I haven't been able to check the board very often recently haha.

I'm not sure I can help you on that. CTL will probably come back up at some point. And ARNA I know nothing about. Sorry.
Arna was one of those stocks I cherry picked that some of those guys made the couple million with. Shorting it wasn't a good idea, it bounced back up to 5.40+ today. I don't understand the sharp changes in some of these stocks for little reason.
Even with timber stocks I have problems. Timber is a very easy money in money out business but there are its problems.
How do I make sense off these? Maybe I am not cut out for stocks past picking blue chippers... Haha. But you can bet your bottom dollar I can go through 50 acres of timberland and tell you how much money is there or walk into a mill and show how I can make 25% revenue in a year. Weird I guess.

You certainly have superior knowledge over me when it comes to the timber and lumber business.
It wasn't that long ago that I learned a two-by-four board is not actually two inches by four inches....

For softwoods, at one point in its life it was 2x4. :haha: After it's dried it shinks.
For hardwoods you can specify that size and they will cut them to that for you. Usually the Chinese want them like 15" wide by 16' long and an inch thick.
