I've reconsidered about dropping out of our investment game, with a caveat....

I would like to continue to play the investment game referred to in the stickied topic at the top of the Money Board's first page but:
I will voluntarily not sell/cover any stock I buy/short for at least one hour after I make the purchase/short trade.
That way I have no pricing disparity advantage in quickly flipping a position and I get to have fun with buying some things I probably normally would not buy or short. The pricing disparity between my Schwab trading screen's pricing and the game's pricing usually only lasts about a minute or so.
So waiting one hour before I can close a position means the short-lived pricing disparity does not factor into my decision what to buy or short.
I hope everyone is okay with this. If there are a significant number of strong objections to my playing even with the self-imposed trading restriction, I'll just stick with my initial decision to drop out.

Not sure what you mean, but the verify part would be easy.
The trade times show up in the transaction history. So anyone could see that I waited at least an hour to sell/cover a position.

Can't stay away, huh? In all seriousness, no problem here. I'm following suit. Probably will hold longer than an hour 90% of the time... That is until I have a slow day or something.

LSUGUMBO made you quit

You're right. I hope I can know as much as he does about investing one day. He's my role model.
Btw, where are you ranked? I can't seem to find you on the first four or five pages of the rankings...
ETA: NVM. I found you on the bottom of page five. You do understand one goal of investing is to end up with more money than you start with, right?

The student has become the teacher! 13 days has made me a trading master!
It probably just means that now I have $3MM to lose instead of just 1. Glad you decided to stick around. I think the game will be better with the experts.

hey, I told you I'm playing the long game here, it's all about positioning at this point.
That and also I need UGAZ to get about $5.00 again to actively trade it

You missed it. UGAZ hit $5.42 today.

I bought some and some DGAZ, but I need it to be routinely above $5 to make it useful in the game

What's the logic behind buying UGAZ & DGAZ at the same time?

just to have positions in both. and then follow them, if one gains X%, then sell Y% of my holdings and use it to buy the other one (that dropped roughly X%). over time, continually selling the gainer while buying the loser, but never sell all of the stock I have in one or the other because you never know how high it can go.
There's prolly some really good reason why this wont work, but whatever, it's only money
and, just so you know, I've sold some of my IRL UGAZ shares for a profit and once the funds become available to use, I'll then buy which ever has dipped last.

I've been on the road all month but are you not predicting the market this year?

So if you're going to do all that then help me out.
I don't think CTL is going to hit 39$ tomorrow but I don't want to take a huge loss.
Maybe short some ARNA? It lost a lot yesterday.
