ESPNRittenberg Adam Rittenberg
Expect LSU to make a strong push for Bob Shoop, one of nation’s top D-coordinators. Vital for Penn State to step up and keep him, if it can.
Updated - This a direct quote from Frank Wilson who my source has a close relationship with.
"Les Miles has not offered the LSU D.C. job to anyone yet."

There's so much misdirection in this. Wouldn't be surprised to hear a new name come up

"ESPN" enough said. Although, I would rather Shoop or Venables over CP

CP better get off his arse. People seem to be getting antsy

Where do y'all think Les touches them when he makes this contact?
Posted on 1/3/15 at 6:25 pm to TrueTigerTale
If it ends up being Shoop considering he's a northern guy how does this affect recruiting?
In fact, is he considered a good recruiter?
What defense does he run?
How will the personnel that LSU currently has fit in his system?

CP my #1, Shoop #2...... Stoops would be 10-15.
Let's hope we get one of our first two.

Mine too, Les Miles has many coaching connections, not surprised that he's contacting DC's from all over the country and contacting others to help with his decision. ALL Good for LSU

I think it will come down to shoop and cp that stoops things was all smoke and mirrors IMO.

KLAHOMA CITY -- Mike Stoops has received a three-year contract that will pay him $600,000 annually to be the defensive coordinator for Oklahoma, and he'll have a familiar face helping him. The university's board of regents voted Tuesday to approve the terms of Stoops' employment, which includes a $245,000 base salary and $355,000 for personal services and fundraising. Later in the day, the Sooners announced that Tim Kish -- Stoops' former defensive coordinator at Arizona, who succeeded him as interim coach -- would be the new linebackers coach. More on Oklahoma For full coverage of the Sooners, check out the Oklahoma blog,
Not going to be Stoops, likely C.P. or Shoops it now appears
