Semmes was a commerce raider not a blockade runner. The css Florida ran the blockade in mobile

This really has nothin to do with blockade runnin in The Civil War, you should read the trilogy about the CW written by NewtGingrich. Wonderfully written books. Gettysburg, Grant Comes East,& Never Say Surrender. If you read these books, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Merry Christmas to all
