I think if you're breaking the typical white guy Bond mold then Idris Elba has to be your top choice.

I'd rather see Collin Salmon as Bond than Idris Elba.
He has more of that "classic" look and feel than Elba does.

From the look of Rush's pin point pupils the last couple years he most likely has relapsed on opiates. When he was abusing Oxycodone a decade ago is when he made the Donavon McNabb black QB comment that got him fired.

So it is wrong for Exodus casting directors to hire white people for roles and wrong for Rush to want the same thing for Bond? Hmmm.
I do think it is stupid he brought it up. It does come off as racist and when the other side spends 90% of their day calling conservatives racist, you don't need to lob a fat pitch down the middle of the plate, Rush.
By the way, I would be fine with Idris. Solid actor in everything I've seen him in.

But what did he have to say about a black Annie? Why would Rush's comments about a character taken from novels with a British hero be more cause for concern than his comments about a character taken from a comic strip with an American heroine? If his comments reflect racist beliefs wouldn't he have made similar comments about Annie?
