Way too many to pick a favorite but I'll go with the 1938 version with Reginald Owen

The best version of "A Christmas Carol" is the 1939 Cambell Playhouse radio version narrated by Orson Welles and starring Lionel Barrymore. It's a must listen LINK

It's muppets for the family and Scrooged for people without kids.

Really like that version but not so fast. I have the Patrick Stewart version(TNT movie from years ago) and it kicks arse. Of course Stewart is an excellent actor and kills it as Scrooge but it is the rest of the film that makes it the best version. It has a cold and drab feeling to it that makes it jsut a hair better than the George C Scott version.
To be honest I waffle back and forth as to which version is better.
