I have followed this Board for a number of years and really enjoy some of the threads. Great to see so many people so passionate about something I am also passionate about. OK, I am a pretty big donor to LSU and LSU athletics through taf etc. While I am sure there are others like me on the board, I am using this username to try and represent what I feel and know many of the people I know who also give what are significant $$$'s, but in the end it's "my take." I have been blessed by some hard work and some luck to be able to support LSU (and other charitable causes my family feels strongly about).
In any case, I love LSU sports and look forward to sharing what my thoughts, opinions and facts are. We all on here have sources....so off we go
I’m glad Les is staying because I have seen so many hiring’s at LSU directly go very wrong when they looked so great. This is true of ALL schools; my buddy at Tide Pride can tell you about the 4 guys who came between their 1992 NC and Nick...not much fun there. Now, IMHO Les needs to win more in next few years than 8-4 and if he starts losing he will be gone.
I think he will win again, and big, he has shown the ability and I like him...a lot. I also see some good in Joe, but the ability to hire a major head coach in football (with Ch. Alexander and the current BOS) is a very tall order and frankly outside his skill set.

How much have you donated to consider yourself in the top 100?

I find this interesting. People bang on Joe a lot. However, when I look at his hires, I don't see them as bad as others do. He did hire Cut at Duke, Duke is having the most success in football in years. He hired Trent, Trent is one of 7 undefeated coaches right now at t.c.u., he's won conference championships in pac 12, s.e.c., and can do it in the big 12 this year. Trent also left lsu in decent shape for jones. He hired Johnny Jones, This appears to be our best b.b. team since trent's first year and he is improving the b.b. team each year. (we are in year three). He hired beth torino, she appears to be a future rock star in the softball. she already has one c.w.s. appearance and recruits like all get out. He hired caldwell, well, it doesn't appear to be working here at lsu. However, she was a rockstar at u.c.l.a. when he hired her. She was suppose to be a can't miss.
So, we can give him a failing grade for Caldwell. Outside of that, i'm not sure why people feel he can't hire a good coach. I think the people that don't like him, don't because he hasn't fired les miles. However, he was in the process of doing as such in 2010. That year miles won 10 games and tied joe's hands. In 2011 he went 13-0. Yet, these people feel he should have been fired after the 14th game. so what do you do?

Really excited that my Rant contingent, #TeamPositiger, now has a top 100 donor registered and approved Geaux Tigers baby!

knew I would get this, TAF has rankings based on all giving to LSU accross all sectors, not just TAF (many posts on here about this), I am easily in top 100, but rest assured people high on the list give much more than me. To be #100 I would guess all time giving would have to be $250k, but am not sure.

I know that this is a different platform than normal conversation, but I know that you're the guy that leisurely expresses your financial status to all your co-workers. The financially insecure fellow.

If you don't know glassman or belowpar, you aren't a top 100 donor.
And you scream alter.
And you scream alter.
