at finding a cab in Baton Rouge, but otherwise looks legit. BR>>>NO
Houston at #16 by the way, just one below Lubbock (??).

This college town has lots of singles under the age of 35, and the energy industry supplies lots of jobs to recent grads. Gas is very cheap, and a cab costs less here than in any other city on the index.

Well, that's absurd.
I don't mind living in B.R., but N.O. is a paradise for young professionals.

This list is doo doo. having lived in BR for 9 years and moving back home, I can say without question NO is better for a young adult.

What about Livingston Parish?
I much prefer the bigger lots and living amongst church attending folk. Not to mention working in the plants .

Same here, BR realistically belongs on the San Francisco/New York tier.

I would consider moving back to Baton Rouge or Lafayette if there were more lucrative jobs in my field.
New Orleans isn't appealing to me. Maybe 10 years ago, but not now.
I guess I can buy Baton Rouge's ranking if that is the criteria. It is fairly cheap to live there, the place is stocked like a trout pond because of the higher ed, and there are good jobs there if you are in the right field.

The plants sure are a thriving networking scene for young professionals.

Someone forgot to do a little research on what the scene is like in N.O.

DFW dominated that list.

Nashville has too many universities and post grads in the work force not to make that list.
