Baseball and football are not comparable. Steroids don't give a football player instincts like Watt has. They don't help him catch interceptions at the line of scrimmage (that most players couldn't even get a hand on). Steroids haven't helped him recover fumbles, catch touchdown passes, etc.

Steroids help him get there faster and push lineman harder.

Certain positions still need to have high football IQ to play at the NFL level. QB's get a lot of credit for being cerebral, but ILBs, safeties, and even Dlineman need to be able to read offenses too.
