You think!

LSU is 2nd to Auburn in SEC titles for that period and played in a BCSCG.

Come on...don't be so arrogant. LSU hasn't played in a "shitty" bowl in that period. This year? Maybe.

The post I was responding to submitted that Miles should have been fired 5 yrs ago. That's just silly, but rather than post a comment to that guy you want to talk bout taking "luster" off what you called an "impressive" accomplishment. Why do you think that is?

When bama wins this year, we will be third.

I remember similar stats for Cholly Mac ..slightly lower, but not much..but could never get to the Big One.

Are you kidding me??? LSU was under .500 in the SEC and winning .600 overall on Mac's last 5 yrs.

Miles is winning like at a 82% overall and is like 30-12 in the SEC in the last 5.

I don't see how anyone can compare Mac's last 5 with Miles last 5 and come up with "slightly lower, but not much".

Hey, feel bout Miles as you wish. It's an opinion forum.

That might be true, but numbers over a period of time certainly tell a pretty good story bout a coach. I see "numbers" used a fair amount of time to discredit the Miles record. Don't you? Like 8-4 or 4-4 or "2 L Miles". Do you post to those guys that "numbers don't always tell the whole story"?

LSU played 17 true freshmen after losing a record breaking 2013 offensive performance and they were still in the hunt for an sec title.

Stop it damn you you are making to.much sense for the rant.........hahahahaha

WTF are you two dumbasses talking about? Everybody is in the running when SEC play begins.

Last year our "record setting" offense was a gift fron God because Mett groped some whore in Georgia....

So the question is, if we can do that with a qb of Mett's talent, why haven't Les and Co. been able to bring along and develop one that they actually scout, recruited, signed, and worked with on their own? I understand what they did with a developed guy, but WE DIDN"T DEVELOP HIM, someone else did.

Why can't we do that with our own? Now do you see where the problem is when smart fans can see what we cannot do?

I have always liked Miles and still root for him to succeed. He's a great family man and obviously cares about his players. But this is the time for him to show he can adapt. His simplification of play calls on Offense have allowed every single team to know our plays before we run them. Daring them to stop is no longer ballsy, it's offensive suicide. I know we are in a lot of close games with good team, but it's time for the O to pull it's weight. It shouldn't be put on the D in every single high profile game to shut down the other team the enitre game. The O needs to bail the D out as often as the D does for them. If he can't change, he needs to go. I don't like it and definitely won't be happy to see him go, but the game evolves. Anyone that doesn't gets left behind.

Like 8-4

Im not going to argue numbers man.....8-4 is unacceptable for a school that recruits the level of athletes we do. Les has had top recruiting classes almost every year. The record is not indicative of the talent we have which tells me that it is either being under coached or under utilized.

Not going anywhere. Les will retire at LSU.

He gone. Why wouldn't he leave? A fan base that will not support it's team on game day and only has two big games per year that he has to win versus five or six. Playoff system has all but guaranteed a team from the conference will get in and there are only two legitimate teams in the conference. versus three to five in the Western Division of the SEC. Nobody should blame him for leaving. Thanks, Les.

In 2014 we had two losses and were tied when T.J. Yeldon fumbled at the Alabama 6 with 1:13 left. -- Just like 2012 we LOST.

I consider myself in the middle ground with Les and don't care if he goes but also interested to see what 2015 holds and how we will do with him at the helm... but being the second coming of Big Game Bob is getting old.

Les is Les. Nothing more, nothing less. He grows on you after 10 seasons. He eats grass and is foolishly laughed at and ridiculed. A thankless job for 4 million dollars a year.

If Les wants to leave, he can. There will be other coaches, there will be wins and losses. The fanbase will never be happy with a season or a particular game. Winning never soothes the soul.

I appreciate his time at LSU. If he wants to walk, I am sure he can afford a nice moving company.

SEC Titles since saban has been at BAMA

LSU- 2
BAMA- 2

National Championships are
Saban 3
Miles 1
Should be 2-2, becuase BAMA should have never had another shot at LSU

It would actually be terrible if he were to leave. And we only have 15 commits, think about that shape up. I always joke about CLM getting fired, but if it happened or he went for another job such as Michigan, that could be really damaging

this.

lots of folks diss miles during the season, esp after a loss. part of the fanbase demand results that rival saban's and think that it would be easy to fire miles and hire a coach that will produce saban like results. hell, they think those kind of coaches grow on trees. they transpose a certain success of one coach IN THE CURRENT YEAR and assume he would do even better at LSU.

I think most of these posters are teen agers or close to it and have no clue how the real world works. and most of these same posters seem to only care about the offense; as long as we gain a lot of yards and can score quickly they would be happy. even if we suck on D. it is POSSIBLE that we could get a coach that is better than Miles but it is much more likely that we get a coach that is not as good, even one that fails.

I don't care if you are USC, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Penn State, etc there is no magic formula that will guarantee an uber successful HC.

if Miles leaves for his alma matar I will be sad for LSU but happy for him. I really, really, really hope he stays and becomes the most successful coach in LSU history.

so many people, esp in a certain age group say that Saban set the bar at LSU, but in reality it is Les Miles that has set this bar. Saban had one really good year, it's just that we had had so many mediocre or bad years before he arrived so he gets the "savior" tag. his success at bama is what a lot of people judge miles by; not his success at LSU.
