Rate the year:

I'll say a solid C. It's sad that we never could develop a passing game. Mississippi State and Bama losses definitely sting the most.

I think most thought this was going to be a 3-4 loss team. It's definitely quite the adventure getting to our final destination with Miles at the helm. Dude is one of a kind.

I thought this season could be special if:
a) we could pass well enough to keep D's honest.
b) we could get stout in the middle on D.

"A" never happened - maybe a little the first half tonight. "B" happened but only after we dropped two SECW games.

Overall, I'd give it a C-. Chance to pull it up to a C+/B- with a strong bowl win.

I'd give it a C. Jennings hasn't developed... at all. Harris hasn't been groomed to take over. We lost to state for the first time in 14 years, broke Arkys long arse losing streak.

Yet still finished only a game worse than last years squad.

Damn penalty against Vadal was the difference in a B+ and a C. I knew we would lose some games.

Wisconsin, Miss St, Auburn-On the road and Ole Miss. I factored in 2 losses a strong probability if things went well.

Vadal doesn't get called against Bama and the clock doesn't stop. Another 30 seconds run off (minimum). I like our chances to be 9-3.

I'd give us a C. I thought we'd go 10-3

I had LSU losing to Mississippi State, Auburn, and Arkansas this year. Wish we could have gotten past Alabama

It was a long frustrating season...had we beat BAMA, no doubt we would have won at Arkansas...if ole miss wins, would we have made SEC championship game or would state still have tiebreaker? Wishful thinking bit it seems all the scenarios we needed have nearly happened.

I'm tired of losing games we shouldn't and squeaking by games we should dominate.

It was a roller coaster ride, but we knew it would be like that going in to the year.

I attended the Wisconsin game in Houston, and I saw the Ole Miss and Alabama games at the big LSU bar in Manhattan. I will never forget any of those nights. The former two were great and I wouldn't have done them any other way (despite our tendency to make things closer than they should be) and the Bama game will stick with me for years, just like all the rest.

I'd give the season a B- considering the youth and the relatively low expectations. Had we held on to vanquish Bama and finally exorcise the demons, I'd have given it a B+. Had they not been shutout by Arky, I'd give it a B even with the Bama loss.

The offensive struggles in the 2nd half of the season were frustrating, and getting shut out by Arky is pretty pathetic, but overall I love the improvement our defense showed, and our young offensive players provided enough flashes of brilliance for me to remain very excited about our future.

This team's best days lie ahead.

C- due to poor qb play. showed very little improvement from game 1 to game 12. still can't believe BH didn't receive more playing time in games where AJ clearly was ineffective. If AJ is our starter for the next 2 years I don't see us bettering 9-3 or 8-4.

At this point, a C-, pending the result of the bowl game. The meltdown @ Auburn then being shut out by the Pigs for their 1st SEC win in 17 tries hurt the most. I can't help wonder how the season might've changed w/ the 2 plays turning out differently: the last play vs MS St being a TD instead of a INT @ the goal-line & the roughing penalty not happening so LSU scores a TD vs the Gumps.

It's about what I expected, there's only so much any coaching staff can do with a bunch of freshmen. For a raw team this wasn't a bad season at all.

More concerning is that LSU needs a "reload" year after losing a crop to the NFL, while Alabama just keeps on keepin on.

So most say they predicted 3 losses yet with 4 we get C???? Umm I said 3 loses. But the olé miss win raises way above a C. Plus we beat Bama's arse for 59 minutes.......all in all the year is a B but never ever thought our qb play would be so putrid.

D+

No impressive wins, our passing game makes some high school programs look like the New England Patriots. Fournette was really the only bright spot of the season.

Texas A&M, Kentucky, Florida and Ole Miss are all on down years. We got shut out by Arkansas, humiliated by Auburn. How we came back versus Wisconsin is beyond me, or hung around with Alabama for that matter.

If this was high school, I'd understand the struggles of our passing game, but we are in the SEC. For LSU to come out and field this abomination of a passing game on a weekly basis is just disgusting. On top of that, Miles is too damn stubborn to change it up. Brandon Harris is a spread QB in a run heavy offense, I'll be shocked if he sticks around.

As I said, Fournette has been the lone bright spot of this season and hope to see someone else under center next season. As well as someone else on the sidelines but I know we're not that lucky.

We all did predict 3 or 4 losses since we knew Miles is the coach.

Question is where do you think this team gets with a top 10 coach? I'd say 2, we had the talent to beat Bama and Arkansas.

C this is the seaon when the teacher sits you down and tells you - you can be an A student but you need discipline and committment to excellence.

You need to reorganize priorities and study.

Are you willing to accept C performance?

Or do you want to be the best you can be?
