Barcadia would be perfect for you LL. You could play all the little video games while the grownups watch the game.
I kicked Jones' arse at skee-ball last time we went.

Hahaha, I'm not going to lie, the subliminal boob messages threw me off and I had to reread. It is electric. I was worried about maintaining a certain temperature basting that often, but didn't want to risk drying it out either. I'm actually more concerned about it being cooked thoroughly than I am about drying it out.
And thanks! For the advice and the complement.

She could foil it too but then you might make the skin squishy. For all other meats I wouldn't be concerned but for turkeys, especially ones that big, drying out is going to be their primary problem. I've honestly never smoked a bird in that poundage range. Even when I fry I stick to 13lbs. If I need more meat, I usually just do two or more 13 pounders.

They make that poor, one legged girl work on Thanksgiving? That's just wrong.

Prom posted a link (haha) to it earlier. It's a direct heat electric, max temp 275.

Same here, and I agree.
But when you fry, you're cooking at high temp, short period. With 12 hours of smoking, no way that bird will still be raw. And at low temp, it will not dry out.

Would it be wrong to have a picture of my own boobs in my avatar?

y'all probably also know the size of it. i'm just walking in late and shootin in the dark, don't mind me.

No I agree, not a chance it's raw if she cooks it at 225 for 12 hours. That smoker that Prom linked though is a direct heat smoker so it cooks and smokes. That why I said she needs to baste it regularly. If it was a side smoker with indirect heat, I wouldn't even be concerned at all.

See, in my very limited knowledge of cooking, this is what I've always been told.
Low and slow is the way to go.
(I'm a poet and didn't know it!)
Damn Prom for undermining me and make me question my process! He will rue the day!!!
