I all but guaran-fricking-tee you they wouldn't have made it out once. They had no depth. Rockets would have even kicked their arse. Who on their team matches up against Dwight or Harden? Too many good PG's in the west.
Parker
Paul
Westbrook
Lillard
Curry
No way a combination of Norris fricking Cole, Mario Chalmers or whatever shite PG Miami had over the years could have navigated a 7 game playoff series against any of those guys in 3 consecutive series. Just not a chance IMO. Pisses me off too.
I'll never say never, too many variables go into making the finals/winning a title (and he did beat two West teams after all).
But damn the West is so much more of a meat grinder that the lack of depth like you said would have made making 4 straight finals impossible.

Round 2: Pacers (42-24), Won series 4-2
Conference Finals: Celtics (39-27), Won series 4-3
Finals: Oklahoma City won series 4-1
Championship 2
Round 1: Milwaukee (38-44), won series 4-0*********
Round 2: Chicago (45-37), Won series 4-1

Last year
Round 1: Charlotte (43-39)******
Round 2: Brooklyn (44-38)*******
Round 3: Pacers (56-26)
*****Denotes teams i think would have not been in the playoffs in the western conference. As you can see the Heat basically got byes for round 1 every year. I won't even look at LeBron's finals runs in Cleveland. Those had some bad teams in the playoffs as well.
