Appears we're off and running.

quote:

Growing unrest in Ferguson led to the arrests of more protesters Thursday night as residents grow wearier ahead of the town’s grand jury decision on whether or not to indict officer Darren Wilson on charges in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Police did not confirm an official tally. The Chicago Tribune reported at least six were arrested.

Protesters blocked the street in front of the police station and taunted police officers until they were pushed back by the officers in riot gear, the Wall Street Journal reported.

It's going to go off like a powder keg. Sixties redux.

These drawn out "announcements" the chief has made just made this situation worse. They need to announce to decision today. Everyone should have been in place for today. Waiting days will just make it worse.

When a governor declares an emergency does it suspend habeas corpus?

Arrest percentages will be high it appears. FOX just said there were only about 40 protestors last night on the streets. Chicago Tribune reported there were six arrests. 15% arrests on a calm night.

Don't know yet even a rough estimate of how many protesters will show up. If last night's arrests are any indication of the trouble yet to come then the paddy wagons will be needing a tire change before this is over.

These protestors are trying their damndest to stay in the news. I, for one, have Ferguson fatigue.

So they're protesting / blocking the street in front of the police station before an announcement is even made?

This is not about Michael Brown anymore, IMO. These out of town agitators think they're starting a revolution, or WTF ever they want to call it. I have a feeling that things are going to get very bad this time.

This isn't going to be as bad as you guys want it to be.

There won't be any looting.

There won't be any shooting.

It's cold, and that will hinder the desire to rampage.

They have faked and postponed the verdict announcement...in order to amp up pick off/arrest - one by one - the rowdies. Strategically brilliant; somebody up there is smart. By the time they announce...the hard core rads will be watching it on tv...from a cell!

This is what always happens to the useful idiots, sooner or later. They go down.

Will be interesting still. Pray that they let it go, and go to work in their communities...slamming troublemakers/thugs like the 'gentle giant'.
