I'm 25 and want to get a nice watch for work and when I have to dress up. I'd be willing to spend up to 500. The brands I was thinking about were citizen, invicticus, Seiko, victorinox and would be open to any other brands

Steinhart should have something good in that range.
I also like the Laco watches, and I wear an Ollech & Wajs which is in the price range. Those might not be formal enough though as they are generally military style.
