I'm sick of hearing, "but Auburn..." Did everyone forget that Jennings replaced Harris in that Auburn game and did absolutely nothing as well?
jennings came in at the 6th minute of the third quarter and drove the team right down the field for a TD.
oh wait. actually he didn't do that. the other QB, harris, did that earlier in the game.

I just don't believe this. Harris was the one working with the receivers this off season not Jennings.

but I think the playbook is too complicated for college kids.
Hahahahahahahahahahahhaahah
Have you seen the plays we call? I am not lying when I say this, but my high school football offense was more complex than what we run. In fact the only thing more complex are the blocking assignments which technically, Jennings doesn't have to worry about all that much unless a blitz is coming on a passing play. But that would only be if we ran more than 1 Wide Receiver routes, which we rarely do.
This offense could literally be ran by a Junior High. I'm not lying or exaggerating.
So if a player "can't grasp the playbook" as you want to believe is the case, then they are literally on a Junior High level and probably shouldn't be in college anyways.

I'll bet the Miles camp and the Les lovers inside the football operations building are leaking it out just so that I will look like Les made the right decision by sticking with Jennings all this time. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
oh my. So les is now purposely leaking negative things about his own player whom he recruited? He is purposely demeaning a kid and losing games to promote an agenda. Wow.
people posting death threats on jennings twitter are NOT the problem. We should listen to these people.

Isn't this notion what caused Jennings to post something on twitter like "People say they are grinding, but they really aren't"?

But, if I were the coach, it would be difficult to reward such behavior.
I can certainly sympathize with this argument. But I think at some point you still have to throw him in. It's just like the business world. I've seen it time and again. Sometimes you've got a young guy who has a ton of potential and you want to promote him but he just doesn't put in the extra effort. But when you finally do promote him he realizes he's the guy and steps up to the responsibility of the position. And sometimes you have a guy who does all the right things, tries really hard and you give him the promotion for his efforts. Then he gets there and just coasts. Like "Hey, I'm here now. No reason to kill myself anymore and continue to improve."
Very rarely do you get the guy that has great potential AND the work ethic. Apparently LSU doesn't have that guy now but at this level of football you need to take a shot on the other guy IMO.

I didn't hang my hat on a 3 for 14 day, but if you want apples to apples Jennings was 50% against Auburn for more yards

I've thought of this analogy several times. Maybe he's the kind that doesn't really step up until the pressure falls solely on him.

What are Jennings stats for the following games:
New Mexico St
Miss State
Auburn
Ole Miss
Alabama
Arkansas
Thanks, pumpkin.

Only one of two things are true:
1) The coaches don't know what they're doing re QB play, or
2) The coaches have failed yet again to ensure that LSU has quality depth at the most crucial position on the field.
We either suck at coaching or suck at evaluating.

Again, I didn't point to a single shitty game to try to crown anyone a starter.
