A Stihl. How does any man not know that?

Stihl MS170 with 14" bar for 95% of homeowners.

Be a man. Get the Farm Boss. There is a reason it's the best selling chainsaw Stihl makes.

Husqvarna...all day, every day! I have a Stihl weedeater and blower, but my father-in-law's Stihl chainsaw cannot match the power, reliability, or functionality of my Husqvarna. I've heard that Jonsered is even better, but I don't know that from personal experience.

Make sure you get it from someone that can service it. Whatever you buy.

I have some Husqvarna commercial hedge trimmers and they're a POS. I have had to bring them to the shop twice and they aren't a year old. The only reason I bought them is because I had $400 Amazon credit to burn and Amazon doesn't carry Stihl.
Stihl does have issues with their carburetors but they are the best chainsaw around.
Stick to Stihl or Echo

I've ran a few huskys. The pro grade ones are not bad, but they're not stihls.

You know the answer to this, cmon now.

I have Stihl chainsaws and a pole pruner and Echo weed eaters. I bought the hedge trimmer attachment for my weed eater and am selling this Husqvarna hedge trimmer next summer when the demand rolls back around.
Never again.

I've had a $100 Poulan for 14 years. I've had to replace the primer button and a few chains. And considering I only use it maybe twice a year, I think it has been great.

Husqvarna or Stihl is the only option.

Considering the pro grades are $1000+ saws, they're not impressive.
Even for homeowner stuff that will almost never get ran, junk sucks.
ETA: especially when you can get a Stihl for $200 that will handle almost anything your average guy is going to tackle.
