I like STTDB. It's grown on me as people have continued to 'bitch' about it.

People need to realize that they are bringing their wife and kids to a university full of horny 18-23 year olds. They need to realize how college students tend to act, and come to terms with the fact that they aren't coming into your territory. You are going into their's. Put ear plugs on your kids.

Very strange, but this is true for me, as well.

I wonder how STTDB might have evolved on its own if there hadn't been such an attempt to sensor it. I obviously have no argument with anyone who finds the language offensive. But even if you know exactly what they're saying and exactly when they're saying it, it's still barely intelligible in the stadium (from any reasonable distance away) or on TV.

STTDB might have gone away entirely through the natural selection of the student section itself. It gained its stature thanks to those who have railed against it.

Alumni, players, coaches, staff, faculty, future students and players, families (kids), the band, et al. -- it's not their territory, it's a shared territory.
