Christian Socialism is available to us now. What exactly would you change? Make it mandatory? The minute it's mandatory, it ceases to be Christian.

Hateful rhetoric, massive violation of human rights, stuff like that. Pretty much the whole Middle East. These are just democratically elected ones.

Religion is a primitive, Bronze Age concept no matter what the faith. It is ashamed humanity has not grown out of it by now. All religion does is divide humanity and poison the well.

You don't know shite dude, you can't get it in your head because you don't want to face reality. You will never be honest with yourself until you get beat over the head with it.

I'd like to make something very clear to Mr. Choudray. If you and your evil cult followers think that you will implement Sharia Law in the US, you better be prepared for a fight.
Not only am I and many Americans willing to die to prevent this, but more importantly, I'm willing to kill to prevent it.
Bring it bitch.

Hamas, Hezbollah, Turkey's AKP and Egypt's Brotherhood have all been successful in elections.

Aren't Jews and Mormons the two most successful groups in America?

Nobody has ever said that all Muslims are evil. The problem is, (1) far too many are, and (2) there's another group who sit on the sidelines and support Muslim violence perpetrated in the name of Islam. If that weren't the case, then we would actually see a significant number of Muslims standing up to the extremist. Why don't we see that?
Another problem is when some people try to draw a distinction between groups like Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, on the one hand, and a group like ISIS or Al Queada on the other. There's actually very little difference between them. When the MB were in charge of Egypt, they were literally crucifying Christians.
And finally, there are some people on this board who have never condemned Muslim violence committed in the name of violence. They bash Jews and Israel all day long, but they won't condemn the epidemic of Muslim violence that has been perpetrated all over the world.
Just setting the record straight.

Despite the abhorent acts of the minority of radical islam, organized religion (christianity, mormonism, hinduism, buddhism, etc...) does more good for oppressed/sick/poor/helpless people on this planet than any other organizing principle.
Your ignorant statement is ignorant.

Shahidullah Shahid, a spokesman for the Pakistan Taliban, has been sacked after pledging his allegiance to the Islamic State.
The news follows the release of an audio message in which Shahid appears to state that he and a group of Taliban commanders were defecting to the jihadist group bidding to carve out an Islamic caliphate in the Middle East.
The authenticity of the recording, which was posted online last week, has yet to be independently verified. Shahid's cell phone has reportedly been switched off ever since its release.
The Pakistan Taliban (TTP) said in a statement that he had been replaced but did not announce the name of his successor. The group reaffirmed its support for Mullah Mohammed Omar, the commander of the Afghanistan Taliban.
You know ISIS is fricking crazy when the Taliban won't frick with you.

ISIS is certainly the most extreme of all the groups. They've killed more Muslims than non-Muslims.
But, there are dozens of Muslim groups which have committed terrorist acts and killed people in the name of Islam. Even if ISIS is currently if the biggest problem, certainly terrorist groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas are not the answer.
That snake Choudray does not belong to ISIS, although he obviously supports them. The point being, regardless of group affiliation, there are far too many radical Islamist extremists in the world.

What a load of crap.
Actually, this is not a load of crap if you take faith out of the typical synonymous meaning with "religion". ALL religions have tended to separate people into "whose in and whose out" groups, thus giving a place or belief system for radicals who would use the safe haven to promulgate and give reason for their evilness. The Muslims are doing it now, the Christians did it in the Crusades and the Jews have done it throughout their history. Let me be clear, though, I'm talking about religion, not faith.
I'm a Christian, but I believe that Jesus didn't come to start a religion...I believe he became human to show humans what and how it means to live the way God created us to live...what would be called "God's Created Order". Remember, Jesus' top 2 commandments, "Love God with all your heart and Love your neighbor". If everyone did these 2 things there would be no need to split into groups that require it members/participants to protect its belief system.
Anyway, I didn't mean to turn this into a religious discussion, but I just wanted to say that, to me, there is a difference between religion and faith.

I saw the segment. It wasn't well done at all, imo. 60 Minutes has really fallen off. It was like watching a high school student conduct an interview.
