Just do what you did to the first guy, hide your imperfections & expenses till he says I do and then drop the hammer.

My son doesn't know about any of this. All he knows is his Dad turned the phones off.

OP has set a solid standard for stupidity...sorry to the women in here...she makes the gender look bad.

Does your son know that his mom and dad are divorced yet?

No, I understand what your saying. I think the law is messed up. If one person loses their job after the divorce how would they be able to pay for the private schooling? Can they get a reduction in child support?
Yes, if the loss of employment was involuntary you can definitely get a reduction. But the judge (family court investigators exist) will definitely investigate to ensure it was truly involuntary. I started my own business a few years ago - the judge declined a temporary partial reduction. It sucked, but it is what it is.
If you quit your job and hide - there is a very good chance you end up in jail.
Eta: I quit my job to start a business. During the first few months I didn't take a salary and wanted to cut my payments in half for 6 months and then pay all back owed amounts over the next 6. Judge said no way.

I was in jail with quiet a few guys that were doing a pretty solid amount of time for not paying child support... shite one got out after 6 months but couldn't make a payment after a month out and they rolled him back in for another 6.... They don't play anymore.

But OP still doesn't get a penny.

I agree.
Damn shame. I bet she has perkier tits now than before the divorce.

Y'all have really made me feel worthless and I just don't give a shite anymore. I'm sick of carrying the load alone

If you carried more of his load during the marriage you wouldn't have these problems.

I want to know how/why the marriage dissolved. I'll listen now instead of spit the truth.
Posted on 10/29/14 at 12:55 am to fr33manator
Wait...she left him? So she wasn't this poor victim of a man that used her up and discarded her?
Posted on 10/29/14 at 12:56 am to fr33manator
Can't believe yall are still going at it with this chick... I've noticed from her other threads exactly how this one would play out... She says something hoping to drum up support on what she thinks should happen and wants to hear nothing but what she thinks should happen is right. She is the most obvious typical woman on this board and that is saying a lot.... You can give her advice that's good and she won't even acknowledge it.... No wonder the dude left Nd most likely her son was probably trying to get from her when he got caught speeding... Don't blame either :batshit:

You need to have a serious and honest talk with your son. Do it without making you two into victims. He is young enough that if you make it be a victim, it could have long term negative effects on him. Turn it into a challenge that you two will overcome together and that will have a positive effect on him (and by the sound of it, probably you too).
As for your ex - go to family court. The judge will issue a bench warrant. Take a look on the DSS website. Lots of good info there.
Personally, if the piece of shite doesn't want to fulfill his obligation then he should be in jail. I'm not judging you on the $2,000 a month. Family court decides amounts based on combined household income - so I know you didn't Ask for that amount.
But you keep the "how do I raise my son when I can't give him a new iPhone?" Act and I've got little sympathy for you.
However you act now. And whatever you do next will be a lasting lesson for your son.
Fortunately for you, you get to decide what the lesson will be.
Good luck.
