East St. John @ Thibodaux
Probably the only game worth attention in 7-5A this week.

Saturday nights help the attendance for all those who root for other teams on Friday night and want to see another good game
I think you seriously over estimate the number of people who attend multiple high school football games a week.

Make room in the Top 15 for Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA). The top team in Louisiana continues to impress as it navigates one of the most difficult schedules in the country. This week it dominated St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA) to the tune of 35-6 and improves to 7-0 on the year. The Raiders move from No. 20 to No. 14 this week and are within striking distance of a national title.
do I think they'll get it if they win out? no bc they have a schedule full of state-caliber teams, but no national caliber opponents that would be around them in the HSFB 100...
a team like Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas played all non district games against the elite of California and Arizona and Utah. New Jersey's top team played Ohio and Maryland schools, etc.
but Rummel will be up there, as would Brother Martin if they were to win out and be undefeated state champions

who's going to beat them? Jesuit, HC, or BM?

i'm talking about the national championship... their schedule isn't quite strong enough
if we didn't have the split they might be in the Dome against an undefeated Byrd, Ponchatoula, or Destrehan and that could have put Rummel over the top, along with two extra wins with the longer playoffs

Beating curtis would hold more weight then beating those schools

most of the time, yeah, but not this year...
Curtis fell out of the top 100 when they lost to St. Aug, and everyone says they're good, but mortal this year. With Jesuit, BM, STM, etc. in D1 select, they might miss the Dome for the first time since 1995
the LA teams ranked are Rummel, Destrehan, Byrd, Landry-Walker, and Catholic (BR)

How is Landry Walker ranked, they lost at home to Hahnville.

Rummel is about to beat that Jesuit arse like a drum.

Still, it comes down to name recognition. beating curtis holds more weight nationally then beating any other team in the state. Even with 1 loss

Unfortunately, Rummel doesn't have much say in when they play their home games. First priority at Yenni stadium goes to the Jefferson Parish East Bank public schools, then Rummel gets what's left. This weekend it looks like Bonnabel gets Friday night, Grace King gets Saturday morning and Haynes Academy gets Saturday afternoon. Not that either Rummel or Jesuit would want to play Thursday, but that would have been taken as well with Riverdale.

I'd agree is years past, but WM has kinda fell off the national map after Barbe embarrassed them a few years ago

Raider Pride!
Rummel plays on Saturday nights in Yenni because that stadium is being used for the public schools or EJ on Friday nights. Rummel has to pay East Jefferson to play in Joe Yenni which is why most of their games of schedule on Saturday.
Public schools like Grace King, Riverdale and the other schools around the area have first dibs on playing at Yenni on Friday when East Jefferson doesn't have a home game.
And don't worry, the stadium will be packed regardless of an LSU game or not. Always was when I was there.
