Would You Let Your 13 Year Old Watch Rocky Horror?

Was given some tickets to a RHPS screening. I think there may also be a live component, as well, but I'm not positive. I remember going several times and having fun, but that was probably 20 years ago. Obviously there are sexual themes in the movie, but I can't remember how strong they were (and obviously the tone is pretty lighthearted). I keep thinking about all the things that were a big deal back in the day but are now considered quaint by contemporary notions.
I'm really just looking for additional input/perspective. I'll probably rewatch the movie sometime this week, but what are your initial thoughts?

Chances are, if your son has access to the internet or his friends do, he's see a lot worse than anything he can see at the show. Never saw Rocky horror though.

That's when I saw it.
Or earlier.
It made me feel...strange and confused.

I felt the same way watching it at 18.

I do not believe so, but he hasn't gone through his experimental stage yet, either.

I think I saw it for the first time around that age.

Are you comfortable with your kids crossdressing?

I'm fairly certain he won't be mimicking any of the behaviors. I just want to get some perspective on how strong the material comes across today.

I was 14 when I first saw it. Watched it at a friend's Halloween part as a freshman in HS.
I've been doing the time warp ever since.

i think it's different to show to young girls

I mean there were boys there too. And for the most part all grew up to be well-adjusted adults.
ETA: And truth be known, 14 year olds today are probably doing things I wasn't doing until 18 anyway.

One 13 year old isn't the same as another. It depends on how well adjusted they are.But I'll just assume they're a 13 year old kid like I was a 13 year old kid.
I'd let them watch it at home, but I'm not sure I'd take them to a movie theater screening of the movie. I know 90% of the experience is seeing it in a theater, but I'd want them to know what they're getting into so they can make an educated decision.
