I can relate to this movie, it hits home every time I see it. Very emotional.
The others are good but AF is my favorite out of those.

Mulholland Drive is total crap. Second worst movie ever behind Tree of Life.
Spoken from someone who probably didn't understand the movie.

This right here. Is the douchiest response to any movie opinion ever.

No one, except maybe David Lynch, understands that movie.

Requiem first. Then Blue Velvet, Mullholland Drive, Into the Wild, and then finish with Almost Famous. Should be a nice sequence of emotions for you over the weekend.

Lynch films are am acquired taste so it is possible you won't like them.
Requiem is a roller coaster of emotions.
Whatever order you chose, I would wrap things up with Almost Famous.

If he watches Requiem first he won't want to watch any more movies.

Requiem, Mulholland and Almost Famous are top notch flicks.
Into the Wild is good but a few steps below.
Didn't like Blue Velvet.
You must be a youngin to not have seen any of these. You are in for a good weekend.

Whatever order you do it in, watch Almost Famous right after Requiem. Requiem is by far the biggest downer of the bunch and Almost Famous is the only semi-light film on your list.

Honestly, you should just watch this one 5 times.

Mulljolland drive is enjoyable because naomi watts performance is mesmerizing...As a movie it doesn't compare to blue velvet which actually has a plot.

Just go with Almost Famous. The others are great movies, but I have no desire to rewatch them. Almost Famous is in my top 10 favorite films. It is an absolutely perfect movie as far as I'm concerned. If you identify with music or the past at all, you should love it. One of my absolute favorite movies.

Yeah, Almost Famous really does stand out on the list, and if say it should almost without question be the final film he watches. Almost Famous is a happy and cool film, and really stands out from those other choices. Don't know how anyone can't be happy after the Tiny Dancer scene.

slight thread hijack, but I thought this was a pretty good analysis of Mulholland Drive if you're into that sort of thing LINK

Almost Famous and Blue Velvet are the best on the list.
Requiem for a Dream next.
Mulholland Drive next.
Then last, Into the Wild.
Hell, the first four may all be the top film if I'm in a particular mood. Those are all great.
