I get your point. I guess I'm just too hard on both companies and try to put them in a somewhat close level. Probably because I read WAY too many comic books!
So to recap...
To most people: DC screw up=Bad
Marvel screw up=Oh that's just Marvel being loose and having fun.

I read way too many in the past. I only get to a few every now and again.

That's why I pointed out the Loki-slamming scene. It's not really about a mess up, but about tone.
Take the entire MoS film as is, no changes, but in the end of the film Superman slams Zod 20 times into the ground back and forth. Camera zooms in on Zod's confused looking face with some cartoon noises.
What does that feel like?
