Spoilers
In this one he's created by Tony Stark, and I don't think they can use the term adamantium.

But Cap 2 was pretty down to earth. How do you explain that?
What about it? MCU did the smart thing and kept what could be overpowered heroes out of it.
It was very cleverly constructed to avoid that very question.
But again, even if Thor does show up, so what? We've already seen the rule that Cap's shield can withstand a hit. Cap has stood toe to toe with Loki, etc. The MCU is a MUCH looser place.
Again, I think you're missing the point. These things CAN happen in the MCU and it be very acceptable. The way MoS was constructed, as the OP is laying it out, it doesn't work that way. And I tend to agree. That was a problem of MoS.

Ahh cool. Wonder if they will use vibratium instead? Like Caps shield?

It's not about a weakness, it's that any fight involving Superman will REQUIRE an extreme weakness to remain somewhat realistic.
And the rules will have to be clearly defined if they are going to keep the ultra-realistic tone. Otherwise it will come off as cheap.

Can someone explain me to why the OP thinks Superman's weaknesses are only physical in nature like magic, kryptonite and red sunlight?

It's like you're saying they can't win. If they make it like MoS, you'll hate it. If they don't make it like MoS, you'll hate it. What do you want them to do? MoS is done. It's over. I'm starting to think there's nothing they can do to please some people.

Yes.
The MCU characters are much more interesting. Batman is my favorite superhero because he is just a man using his own strength/ingenuity. I actually like Man of Steel overall, but I thought that the major weakness was that Superman was just too strong. Where do they go from here apart from the Kryptonite angle, which is so played out.

Come off as cheap?
Kind of like Captain America's shield being able to absorb the impact of Thor's hammer (because you know, that what it does), but when a French fella kicks it, Captain goes flying backwards. Twice no less.
MCU can be loose with their rules, but to me, Capt is like Superman. And again, both companies do it. And I agree with you, it cheapens it.

How is kryptonite played out? Its straight from the comics. Would you like them to just make up some other weakness? There's plenty of strong villains that are an equal match for Superman without kryptonite. Doomsday even killed him once. I'm sure they'll use him at some point in a future JL or Superman movie.

Magic and red sunlight for starters.
Besides you never answered my question if you really think Superman's weakness are only physical in nature.

I never said they had to make the same tone, but they've set themselves up for a much more rigid structure. Do you agree?
Marvel, from the get go, did not.

Why do MoS fans always getting down to hate?
This has nothing to do with "hating" or "liking" anything. That stuff doesn't matter. I'm more interested in narrative consistency and universe construction, writing, etc. In that respect, MoS set up a rigid environment to operate within. The very fact that it tries to be more "real," and serious locks it into the tone for good. They can't go off an make a film akin to Iron Man. It would never work.
Much less something like Guardians. And I'm not saying DC is trying to do that. At least I hope they aren't. But what that means is that choices like "What can beat Superman?" Become Extremely problematic.
If something can beat Superman...well how the heck powerful can it be?

It has nothing to do with pleasing and everything to do with logic, reason, artistic choices.

And from what I hear, Doomsday, Braniac, and Darkseid are all going to make an appearance in the DCU.

Exactly. And did anyone blink? Did anyone bring it up as a point of contention? No, because it's less serious and doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

Agreed. But I think the cheapness in the MCU just doesn't matter.
Just like Loki's reaction to the Hulk slams. Cartoony? Of course. But did it really cheapen the film? Not really.
Put a scene like that in MoS and what happens?

The depowered Superman. he was more powerful in the Reeve Versions. And Thor was underpowered, he should killed Iron man in Avengers.

Superman Was Too Powerful to be Interesting in Man of Steel
That is a complete paradox. By far, the most interesting character is one that is utterly invincible and all powerful. That is precisely why Superman is my favorite character and Batman among my least favorites. I want the superhero to be a god among men. I never understood wanting the hero to have flaws. The hero should be without any flaws because it should be something we all aspire to.
