NATCHITOCHES, La. – LSU’s all-time leading rusher and three-time Super Bowl champion Kevin Faulk, former Tiger and UL-Lafayette Hall of Fame softball coach Yvette Girouard along with former LSU assistant football coach Otis Washington highlight the LSU connections on the 2015 induction class of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. Also in the star-studded class announced Tuesday afternoon by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association, the parent organization of the Hall of Fame, to be inducted next summer are UL-Lafayette great and Super Bowl quarterback Jake Delhomme, former NBA champion point guard and Coach of the Year Avery Johnson, coaching great Pat Collins, college football Hall of Fame member Leonard Smith and championship Thoroughbred racing trainer Frank Brothers. They will be officially enshrined Saturday, June 27, in Natchitoches to culminate the 2015 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction Celebration June 25-27.

Even though the end of Dinardo's tenure was pretty bad record wise, I credit Kevin Faulk with the resurgence of LSU football. He was the first big recruit I can remember saying yes to LSU instead of going out of state. Who knows what LSU would have become had he not decided to stay. Well deserved, and a great LSU Tiger.
