Who picks up junk BR?

Got an old queen size bed to throw away. I've seen numbers on little drop off spots around town that say they'll come and pick up, but the one I called hasn't responded in about a week. Anyone know of a church or free service who would come pick up stuff? TIA

If you post a craigslist ad it will be gone in an hour.

Help the homeless and throw it under an overpass.

If you live in EBR parish just put it at the curb. You get weekly trash pickup. If you live in Ascension or Livingston just throw it on the side of the road like everyone else does.

Do they take used mattresses? A lot of places don't. Assuming OP is talking about a mattress and not a frame.

No goodwill doesn't

I tossed mine in a dumpster when I left, but they do come around one or two days a week as they picked up various items like a couple of sofas for me before.

If it's in good shape and not stained all up. I bring stuff to them often from repo houses I work on and/or buy. It's cheaper and easier than having to pay dump fees.

Um yes they do. I have taken several actually.
Just took some week before last.

Ok, well I guess it differs from store to store. I tried to take one last year and they told me no used mattresses
Posted on 9/27/14 at 12:35 pm to Paige
Probably because of all the stains and lube
Posted on 9/27/14 at 12:35 pm to Paige
No offense but they take used mattresses not Petri dishes

Ha. Ha. They didn't look at it
Posted on 9/27/14 at 12:37 pm to Paige
Probably does
If not there, then there are always other options. I also make my workers bring clothes and other stuff we find to the battered women shelter. They have also taken a few mattresses.

He could just drive out to LP and dump it wherever.
