Not true. Suboxone is an opiate antagonist which means it binds up all the receptors opiates would generally bind to. If you were to take opiates while on it, it blocks the effect. It also helps with the cravings as it binds to the receptors. A reputable physician will gradually wean them down. It helps to see a mental health professional that specializes in addiction treatment. Louisiana's regulation of suboxone is much more lax than Arkansas. So, be careful in who you pick.
Of course, this may all be a moot point. I never saw posted what the substance was. I think we all just assumed opiates.

Addictive!! Get professional help for treatment. Don't self-medicate. Let the professionals clean him up in a treatment facility.
