Les Miles on Prescott, "we thought he looked like a great fullback"

When asked about recruiting him.
He's now the best qb in the SEC and we took Rivers instead.
Does that statement not bother anyone?

And Saban passed on him as well as Aubbie

Lots of teams didn't offer him but only Les will get shite for it

says they were skeptical because of his passing yet rivers was a far worse passer in high school than Dak

Doesn't matter who didn't offer when a kid is in your backyard.

Wow....
You completely changed the statement. How pitiful of you.
He said when we first saw him as a sophomore he looked like a fullback who could throw a little. By the time he was a senior he had slimmed down and could make all the throws. They tried to get un the race but he honored his commitment.
Lots if schools initially passed him.

wasn't he in the same recruiting class as mett. we already had mett and that had something to do with us offering him late.

So like Coker and Winston?
They were in Alabama's back yard and left.

You're taking that out of context pretty badly. He went on to say Dak's passing improved dramatically during his senior year, and we offered him then, but after most OB recruiting is in the books. He looked like JJ but shorter, and we went with the pro-style guy. Mett was the real target. In fact aren't you one of the posters typically bitching about LSU recruiting duel threats?

No. Grow up. This is how recruiting works.

Bama actively pursued both of them

Yes, but the left.
We did ultimately purse him.

Meh. There are many things to criticize les on, but passing on dak is not one of them IMO.

Glad to see you spread the terrible posts around to all boards

Offering a few days before NSD is not pursuing. It would be better to just say, "Hey we missed on our evaluation an the kid really blossomed. It happens".
