Dunno if it's still there, but there used to be a billboard on Florida Blvd.
Something like "Thinking of torching your car? Insurance fraud is a wrong!"
Never woulda considered doing that before, but seeing that sign made a small part of me wonder...
Thought the same thing. there is one on I-110 near the airport has well. I never considered it, but hey, maybe it's worth looking into now.

Perhaps a more effective way to get the point across would be to have one that says, "Human Trafficking: frick THAT shite!"

How about just offering money for reporting "human trafficking"?
And if people are being paid for their work on the black market (instead of being regulated through legal means) only to unwisely spend it on drugs or something...well at some point you have to put the responsibility for being a crack whore on the crack whore, right?

Statue of Gordon "Big Truck" McKernan standing on truck hood on I-10 way cooler.

The problem is the traffickers and pimps get almost all of the money for said services, and use force to make sure it stays that way. They prey on runaways and drug addicts because they are easier to manipulate, and once they have control of them they basically turn into sex slaves

Forced prostitution, forced labor, trafficking for organs, debt bondage, domestic servitude. I don't know what you're asking but those are the "types" I guess.

Yea, I had been completely oblivious to all of it until a couple years ago.

No different than the billboards proclaiming insurance fraud to be a crime.
I see these billboards and I shake my head at the fact that as a society, we've reached the point where we need to be told this stuff.

We don't. But apparently "raising awareness" is more important than actually doing something constructive.
Me personally, I kicked a Croatian Gangs arse single handedly and freed 11 Albanian teens.
The Colombians gave me top dollar for them. Seemed like stand up guys. I'm sure they'll find good homes for them.
I'll miss you Svetlana.
