Lets now revisit our previous thoughts about the vikings backfield.

So, lets discuss the positives and negatives of both Asiata and Mckinnnon.
Lets first discuss what we know about Peterson. He is out for now, with the vikings saying they can bring him back.
For what? First, his hearing is set for October 8. I happen to think that Peterson and lawyers will plead this one down. That doesn't get rid of the problem for Peterson, because he has the domestic abuse policy then.
That is minimum of 6 weeks with an addition if done in front of a child. Well, this was done to a child. So I figure at least 8 if not longer.
Will he get credit for games missed? I honestly think he should, but it is unknown if he will. So, conservatively, I figure he will be back about week 9 since he played in week one. It could be longer obviously.
This means we can actually take a longer term look at the minny backfield.
If you need someone for the next couple of weeks, yes, hold onto Asiata and he likely is your boy. But if you project further down the road, like 4 weeks from now, who do you think is the starter?
Does Mckinnon take over? Is he too raw? Do you stick with Asiata long term as well?
Do the vikings become the same as jax does for offensive players?
What kind of thoughts does the fantasy board have?
I kinda like to think that Asiata will own the next couple of weeks. But I think we start seeing more of Mckinnon and I kinda think the vikings would love to have him starting by 3 weeks down the road.
How realistic this is, I don't know.

Asiago is pretty meh to me
McKinnon seems to be the more explosive

Keep an eye on Benjarvus Green-Ellis for Vikes or Ravens

What about Joe Banyard? I've seen some people recommending picking him up

McKinnon cannot pass protect. Don't see him forcing more than 40/60 split with Asiata. I think the Vikings will focus on getting the ball to Patterson and playing tougher D.
