Has anyone have experience with taking either of these two forms of transportation to a game? Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Uber is alittle more expensive then taxi, but I you can get your first ride for basically free. If you sign up for uber for the first time they will give you 30 dollar credit.

Uber is generally cheaper. Though during high volume times, like around game time, after the game, and when the bars close, they will charge you 1 1/2 times the normal rate. But unless a taxi is right in front of you, they are 10x more reliable than calling yellow cab.

Another point. When you open the Uber app and choose a pickup point (you don't have to enter an address; you can just accept the drop pin)the app shows the available uber cars nearby.
It also displays a time for your car to arrive (my last attempt showed three minutes). When you finalize the request it texts your driver's name and contact info. And it shows the car's progress on a map.
If there is any mixup, you can call him. You will necer get in a taxi again unless you have to.

Usually cheaper and tip is built in, they do have some kind of flex rates that make it more expensive during events. A lot of drivers are ex taxi guys that work on their own and don't have to put up with the taxi system BS.
