He's not the one averaging 48.5 YPC with 4 TD's though

However, it was pointed out that all of Amari catches are bubble screens or short passes. None of them are downfield passes. It will be interesting to see how he handles better competition and has to go over the middle.

I want to see how both guys do against good SEC dbs, like VH3, and whoever LSU puts on Amari

So if Dural had 25 catches he would have 16 TD's , hmmm

Both of these guys have faced clown defenses. IMO, neither will be top 10 in that list in 8 weeks. And, not because of their talent or play. Both Bama and LSU will slow down the passing game once they play teams with a pulse. And both have inexperienced QBs and conservative head coaches who won't let those QBs lose games for them.

Cooper's a known commodity in the SEC, but bubble screens won't work against a LSU or UF secondary. Kiffin will have to open up the route tree with Cooper. As far as Dural, he still has a lot to prove, but he's shown that he's a big play WR.

sims cant throw the deep ball for shite, longest is a 52 yard bubble screen
cooper is doing all of this with his feet

did you miss cooper's freshman year at bama?

Way too early for these stats to mean much...very pleased Dural is doing great and everyone knew Cooper was good.

A lot of screens for cooper

Nice stats but only 6 catches compared to 25?
Posted on 9/8/14 at 10:28 pm to Storm22
with White out the next 3-4 weeks, Cooper 2 I'll continue to rack up. I see him over 100 catches easily this year and will be over drafted

Bubble screens and POP and POL passes are executed after the linebackers bite on the run and there is no one to contest the pass. They are money, yds RAC, TOP, and tired defenses. They open up the running game, which we could not do until 5 players went down in the Wisc game. The Vertical long floaters to Dural look good now but he is staring down the receiver and not even looking for check-down wide open options. He either throws it long if Dural is open or throws it away. In SEC play Dural will be blanketed and that deep ball will not be there. If you want to see what happens just watch Mett last year in the first 17 minutes of the Ole Miss game stare down Beckham and throw 3 interceptions on 3 consecutive possessions into the endzone and his draft stock drop along with our NC chances. Mett had the strongest arm in the game and the double teams smothered the plays, just like our DBU would.
