Like others have said, it was a fishing trip snack that my grandparents would always bring when I was a kid. A while back we were pretty hammered and got some at the gas station (there are soooo many flavors). I don't remember what they tasted like, but I remember waking up feeling awful and the room smelling like shite because of the open cans everywhere. I think I'll pass on trying them again.

I still love potted meat and mayo sandwiches. Only eat them every few years though. Just like everybody else have said, grew up on Vienna sausage and potted meat with saltines on the Tombigbee and Alabama rivers.

Ate them through high school.

Cut those lil sumbitches in half and put them on some slices of bread. Drizzle some mustard and throw a slice of cheese on it. Damn good meal there

We used to eat them everyday out in the field.
My mom or grandmas would pack us a lunch,.... My papaw always called em jap dicks.
Never forget those days on the farm as a kid.

I did as a child and it still is a good item to take on a camping trip.

As a child I saw entire chunks of vienna sausage being thrown up into a pool. I cannot look at them the same anymore.
