Parroting articles I've read, Josh Gordon applied to play in the CFL knowing they would reject his request.
This is intended to show the judges "irreparable harm" which is a big factor in issuing an injunction. The basic premise being "you hurt someone's livelihood so badly with this, they should be allowed time to continue working until a fair trial is heard. Here is proof.".
That, plus the rumor mill rumbling about him going to sue already in motion, says that it's likely to happen, to me. He's already geared up to lay the foundation of his appeal for injunction.
Remember the players in Starcaps played quite a bit before they lost the case ultimately.

I'm have him in 2 of my 3 leagues and I'm holding on to him until it is 100% he will not be playing this year. However, I would have much rathered him being suspended 8 games and then have him through the fantasy playoffs than for a few weeks to begin the season.

Dropped him for Ladarius Green.

The Williams bros played most if not all season after their injunction... Think most are expecting the same if Gordon gets one.

Getting an injunction is not guaranteed, but worth it to drop a kicker and hold onto him until Thurs to see if he files.

Definitely. The ~5% chance that an injunction is granted and Gordon plays is worth dropping a kicker or backup TE.
Not like anyone is going to run to the wire to pick up your kicker anyway.

Thanks. Just picked him up because he wasn't drafted in draft yesterday

Would you drop Dan Bailey for Gordon?

Of course. This is the ultimate lottery ticket. Chances are not great but worth rolling the dice.
