We like the styling, quiet ride, and roominess of our Enclave...but don't expect any great mileage. I think we got close to 21 mpg on the trip, but average about 15.7 mpg in the city.

Didn't realize the Enclaves gas mileage was that poor. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

We have a QX60. Great vehicle. 3rd row is very accessible with sliding middle row.

We have a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum Premium with 3rd row seating. Great vehicle, no issues whatsoever and basically the same as the Infiniti QX 60.

This. They're the same car with different names. You can get a platinum level pathfinder for a couple thousand less than the (roughly) same QX60. I didn't realize it until after I bought the QX60. Bad shopping in my part, but the wife is happy, so there's that.

My wife has a 2012 Highlander Limited, and I am not a big fan of the vehicle. More than likely it will be the last Toyota vehicle I purchase.

My biggest complaint is IMHO the electronics suck- everything from the navigation, to mp3 controls, to radio controls, to the ac. I travel a lot for work and drive a lot of different rental cars, and the Highlander is the worst I've seen.

My other complaint is the driver's "side to side" leg room. My right leg is bent leaning against the console which ends up being uncomfortable on long drives.

We have one baby, but we will be upsizing vehicles when we have out next child- probably to a Tahoe. I couldn't imagine two car seats in our current Highlander.

I love my Ford Explorer. Very nice and the third row seat had enough room for me to be comfortable in. I'm 6'0 205 lbs. Get about 27mpg on hwy and 20 in city.

We recently downsized from an Expedition to a Durango. Noticible size difference, but still fits 2 adults and 3 teenagers with a decent amount of cargo room leftover.

Has anyone had any experience with the Mazda CX-9? My wife and I are looking hard at that one and it's also in this class.

A buddy of mine got the ford explorer last year and just had his second kid (3yr and newborn), he is dying for something bigger. He is about 5'10" and he doesn't have headroom in there

I am gonna call BS on that. I am 6'5 and drive a 2012 explorer and I have plenty of headroom. Perhaps he needs to lower his seat

Mazda CX-9

Rode in one last week.

Solid car, good power with the turbo. A lot of features for the money.

More road noise and not as elegant as the Enclave.

I second this. I have the 2011 and it is more than enough. We had two people over 6'0 in the 3rd row and two in the 2nd row and they never complained.

Not a whole lot of love for the Acadia on here....I just bought he wife a '14 SLT and she loves it...only had it a week. The back is roomy and our 2 year old loves it to although I think that is because she got a new forward facing car seat too

Those are very very nice looking. For some reason I didn't like the bucket seats when I was looking. It was either the 4Runner or Explorer for me. Got the explorer for way too good of a deal otherwise I think I would have gone 4Runner.

ours will be 2 years old in November. We like it a lot. Most of these vehicles are almost identical when you get inside them. There isn't much difference in room, storage, etc. Some get slightly better gas mileage. Some have a slightly better ride.

We like the CX-9. I've driven it to Disney World and thru Tennessee to NC/Virginia area. We have 2 kids currently with one on the way. We're currently looking around at some of the thin car seats and hoping to be able to fit 3 across the 2nd row. Once you actually use the 3rd row, you have much, much less storage room.

If you plan on having it awhile, I'd get the towing package, because you'll probably need storage outside the CX-9 at some point.

recently went through this, looked at every midsize SUV.

Finally settled on a 2014 Durango. It has everything, perfect size etc, etc.

Only draw back? It says Dodge on the name plate.

Wife loves her 2012 MDX. I like it too. Pretty responsive for an SUV.
