Some of these numbers are just insane.

Phi Psi getting 57? Have they been pulling this large of a class in recent years? They were irrelevant when I was in school.

that's after formal rush, informal they'll pick up more. It's not much but we do better at informal.

65 would have been a decent number for an upper tier chapter back in the day, but not huge. A big class would have been closer to 100.

Early 90s to mid 90s

Nationals cleaned out lamb chop in the 90s too. The purge was lead by sonny devillier in the chancellors office. He is the creepiest man I ever met in my life. We all know how devillier turned out

Theta hi was always drugged up

Kappa sig was known for beating everyone, pledges, actives you name it they beat it

KA was trying to recover with a rented house and a reliance on "traditions" that didn't translate to the changes at LSU of the time

I saw the manager at Murphy's the night Ben wynne died recently at the BTE concert at HOB. Good guy in a terrible situation and he did that night what had been done countless times by Murphy's staff through the years. But he and the bar took the fall.

I remember the story was wynne was heavily drinking at a house party on Jennifer Jean before they went to Murphy's and the actives were pouring pitchers down the pledges throats. The manager was responsible for providing and refilling the pitchers. The owner of the shopping center revoked their lease, the liquor license was revoked and the law suits started. The end for wynne and Murphy's

I knew two acacias back then and both live alternative lifestyles now. Not sure that says anything about acacia.

AGR was famous for stealing the anchor and actually getting away with it

The drinking age changed in 93 and everything changed for good in 97.

Chop and SAE used to get in weekly fights in the street between the two houses

Sigma Chi were the cool kids back then, not sure about now

Some of these frats that are first tier now were unheard of or ignored back then

Dekes are simply degenerates and always will be

This guy was an LSU Kappa Sig. LINK Not picking on the Sigs, it's just that a certain percentage from every single chapter will turn out to be gay. Some you'll say, "yeah, that figures." Others you never would have guessed.

Deke always has a few achiever old Nola money types

But damn they are filthy across the board. Don't understand taking pride in that attitude and it carrying over in perpetuity

My father and all of his pledge brothers and friends have done VERY well for themselves. They're all very reserved and mild mannered. I never would have guessed they use to be as wild as they were back in the day. I didn't even know how wild they were back until it popped up on here and I asked my dad about it. Apparently they get it all out of their systems at a young age.

Those numbers are incorrect, my son and nephew are in a frat two different ones and your numbers are way too low for one and way too high for another. Of course, I only know about those two but that's a pretty solid pattern

Disagree, while I never would have joined them and understand your opinion if based only on what you saw of them in college, I'm good friends with at least a dozen former dekes just by chance and all are self made and very successful family men

I'm guessing South seas doesn't happen anymore. In 1989 I remember cutting down a large number of trees (likely trespassing), transporting them and then strapping them together to build a monstrous structure in the front lawn for hundreds of partiers to stand/jump on without any sort of real engineering knowledge or guidance- what could go wrong?

Those are formal rush numbers. There is fluctuation one way or the other with those numbers.
