no i'm not

you can pick basically any set of objective data relating to negative social behavior. it's almost assuredly going to be lower today

murder is not something i "cherry picked", and neither is teen pregnancy, abortion, other violent crime, etc

you're remembering the good, and forgetting what bad you were not ignorant of (because ignorance was a lot higher back then, too)

You are so invested in your view being right that you're not seeing how your bias has clouded your thought process here.

The matter of the 80s vs today is one of perspective and perception. For many it's worse today while for others it's better. You can't paint with such a broad brush like you're trying to do.
