If some prefer to not use kickers, that's fine... to each their own. But I wouldn't use randomness and single out kickers as a reason to omit it. The randomness applies to each and every position. Why not limit randomness by eliminating running backs as well? You get my point.

Randomness makes fantasy football... fantasy football. That's why it appeals to the masses. Everyone, regardless of experience, has a chance to win. You take that away, you lose some of that appeal.

No, I don't. (Although I do agree to each their own, if you like kickers, I got no problem.) You can at least make an educated guess at each other skill position. You're not going to start Stevan Ridley over Jamaal Charles. Why? Because we have metrics, stats, matchups, etc to help inform us, that clearly, Charles is the better option. Or even picking between two similar players at their positions. You can research and make the best choice, even if it doens't work out, there was reasons and facts behind your methods.

With kickers we have absolutely NO clue. There are 32 kickers every week that could finish first or last in scoring that week. We have no way of even making an educated guess. At least to the point, you can with other positions.

But as we said, to each their own, I'm not personally a fan of kickers, but I'm not going to quit/ not a join a league because of it. Just in my "perfect" fantasy football world, the kciker would be replaced with another Flex spot.
