I think I've broken every record posted in this thread in a video game EXCEPT wilt chamberlains 48.5 mpg. Ridiculous. Not even all that impressive, just so impossible to break and so crazy.

The thing I like to point out about that one is some people say Kurt Warner might be HOF-worthy. He had 2 or 3 great years, was out/not playing much, then came back and had another couple with the Cardinals.
By the time Warner started Favre had started every game for 7 years and he started every game coinciding with Warner's career and he played a little bit after.
And with Dimaggio's record, I read once (and can't find it to check) that a guy named Ken Keltner playing 3rd for the Indians made two really good plays on him the day it stopped and then he immediately had about a 17 game streak starting the next game. I don't remember what the exact number was.

As always the most unbreakable record in the history or sports is Fernando Tatis 2 grand slams in an inning.

Rennie Stennett, 7 for 7 in a game against the Cubs.

What a useless record. It's like winning a perfect attendance ribbon. Means nothing regarding production or usefulness. Plus didn't he sit out some strike games that were supposed to count and MLB later decided that they wouldn't count?

Nobody really paid attention to assists before Magic. And then just like that Stockton made it irrelevant again because all he did was throw the ball to Karl Malone on fast breaks and pick and rolls. Not a fan.

Most unbreakable amateur sports record.
Most points in a single football game by one school:
Haven High School scoring 256 points in a single game - Haven (Haven, Kan.), vs. Sylvia (Sylvia, Kan.), Nov. 16, 1927.
That will never ever ever ever ever be broken. Nobody would allow it today.

Edwin Moses winning a 100 races in a row
This was the first one that came to mind. It was actually 122 (107 finals) in a row and lasted 9 years 9 months and 9 days.
In a sport where most athletes have a 6 to 8 year window to be in their prime, he was at the top of his game for 12 years.

Maravich's 44 pt per game average. Surprised no one has mentioned this one yet.

There's some truth to that but it would be interesting to make a list of decent players who never had a 17 game streak.
and Dimaggio also lost $10K because he didn't get to 57 so the Heinz people could use him in an ad for their steak sauce

Umm no it really is not since there are only 5 races in Speed Skating.

I happened to be listening to that on the radio. It was awesome, a few batters before him you started think, "If this, then that, etc." and then it all happened.
