1. How can Haley do that?
2. Henry wouldn't want it.

And I keep hearing how big of a POS McDaniel is, but I've never been presented with evidence showing he is such. It may have been a miscalculation to contest the runoff to the extent that he has. That remains to be seen. However, I would call the tactics used by the Cochran cpaign far more indicative of a POS than simply following legal proceedings to contest an election, which McD is well within his rights to do.

Just playing off the media narrative. Of course they have no proof, they just spout speculation BS.

If you honestly believe that Haley Barbour does not have a vicegrip on Mississippi politics than you are not worth giving a serious response to.

LOL. You lost because your candidate's campaign was run by felonious extremists who care more about being mad than instituting smart policy.

Once the Tea Party figures out that this is a representative democracy and you have to actually talk to people who may disagree with you to win elections, there may be some promise there.

You do realize the majority of Mississippians that voted for CM over TC did so not because they are ravenous tea partiers, but because they are sick of the shitty direction the country is going in, right?

The majority of Mississippians voted for Thad (Dem and Rep) because they didn't want McDaniel's and the tea party representing them. It's that simple.

Which is the TP's ambition. Who cares if we don't have a plan?

Step 1: Burn it down
Step 2: ????

Step 3: Utopia of smaller government

Such ignorance.

Do you really think, say, a 5-10% cut(or even a fricking growth freeze) is "burning it down?"

We do have a plan. It's called the U.S. Constitution.

Allowing a leftist, progressive agenda to have its way is not a plan. Being a party to it isn't a plan either, which the RINO's are doing from my perspective.

Constitutional, fiscal conservatives are disenfranchised - apparently the only disenfranchised group left. When both Dems and Repubs vehemently attack a quite populous movement of conservatives that tells you something. There really is no difference between them.

Yes, and it's been interpreted for a couple hundred years by innumerable decisions, so what my 40 year old TP neighbor says it says may not be exactly what the rest of the population and government believes it says.

So no, it's not a plan. It's a pipe dream. Start by winning elections. To do that, you'll need coherent and realistic policy goals. Enforce those goals upon your elected officials. You guys sure know how to screw up elections, so the latter part won't be a problem. But the first couple of steps are proving troublesome.

I see people in here and/or elsewhere claiming that Paul Ryan is a traitor to the state. Paul Ryan. You may be reasonable, a lot of the TP may be reasonable, but there are undoubtedly unrealistic and totally ridiculous folks who are spearheading portions of this movement.

Read: "I haven't milked this thing for enough money, yet."

He is going to let the challenge period pass and then whine that those bad people wouldn't let him see the books.
