I always thought Landry was built like a brick anyway. Thats what made him a hard hitter? Bowed up? ah no steroids? Hope not

Has his play peaked? Unfortunately I think it has. He's one of my all time favorite tigers

it already has. he just isn't the same player he once was.

Looks like he's preparing for his new career....future Mr. Olympia.

I remember those pics of him from HS and early on at LSU....dude has always been lean & ripped. That pic is probably from 11-12 years ago. Dude has always had the genes to get swole...and he's always been a gym rat.

The stats I'm finding show him at 6ft 220lbs, which really isn't that big. I'm 6ft 212lbs, so he's only 8lbs bigger than me.
What the other poster was saying about bodybuilding mirrors isn't meant as literal. It's all about perception. Laron is insanely lean, as pretty much all NFL DBs are. People equate lean to muscular because it shows off more definition. Just looking at him, he's probably 8% body fat and could likely be less. I'm between 15 and 16.
Doing the math, that's 17lbs of fat I have over him, and he has almost 25lbs more muscle than me.
That's a huge difference. I don't think I could gain that much muscle naturally, however that's what he does for a living. I think it's very likely he's all natural considering how much work he puts in. Even on steroids you still have to put the work in, it's not some miracle shot.
If you added something to compare him to in the pictures, he'd still look big, but not as freakish big. Put him next to The Rock and suddenly Laron doesn't look so freakish.
It's the same thing in the gym. I can go in and get some good pumps and feel great. I can see myself in the mirror and the guns are popping. Then suddenly some real badass walks up and I no longer look as big as I did 2 minutes prior.
I see these super lean guys that look big, until I stand right next to them. You realize quickly that it's all about perception and a little body fat drastically alters that.

i remember seeing him before his senior year working out at the rec. He looked like the biggest baddest mo fo in the gym that day and he's a lot bigger now.
and to think Brandon Jacobs trucked over that dude like he was nothing. Gentle reminder of how ridiculously physical and strong NFL players are.
hope he doesn't turn into David Boston.

as big as Laron is, Jacobs was like 270 running full speed against a stationary landry. landry basically had no chance there

Wow, that was the least subtle subtle brag I've ever read on here, props

you still think that?
he had all the space and time to decide how to tackle him. He went at him to hit and looks like at the last minute said "this isn't a good idea" and then got plowed.

He hit him at the waste and just got trucked. Jacobs actually went down because of the hit too.
He was a pretty impossible guy to tackle back then with that much speed behind him at 270

all the time in the world? jacobs broke past the first group of tacklers at full speed, and landry shifted over from across the field to save Jacobs from likely scoring a TD. When you have a 270 pound running back running a full head of steam and very fast for someone that big, you're going to get trucked when you're outweighed by 50 pounds and try to tackle him straight on. Regardless, as the above post says, Jacobs went down on the play and Landry prevented a huge gain by having the balls to try to square up a guy that had made a habit of trucking guys weekly at that point in his career. I don't think anyone should call Landry weak or whatever for getting trucked in that situation, as that would be a high probability for anyone with that much of a size disadvantage.

He has the typical facial changes one would expect from someone using growth hormone.

How would he have gotten away with it for this long though? Serious question, I'm not sure how long growth hormones stay in your system and how the NFL test for it.

I don't believe they test for HGH

What changes are those?
