What is best novel ever?

What would the OT say. I'm looking to read a book like I used to in high school and regain my love of reading. A constant busy life tends to hamper my free time.

Are you sure you're ready for it?

You want a classic or my fav book?

For me Crime and Punishment.

I don't think there is a "greatest" novel ever. Off topic, I'm currently reading House of Leaves and I can recommend it if you want to slowly lose your mind for 700 pages.

Some of my favorites:
"Bleachers"
"Robinson Crusoe"
"A Song of Ice and Fire"
"The Jester"
"Playing For Pizza"

do you watch movies?
do you like action or romance?
asking what the greatest novel ever is a broad stroke

The obvious answer is:
The Great American Novel
by Philip Roth
Read it in high school. Loved it.

I disagree. Crime and Punishment is a very good novel, but Donkey Kong is the best novel ever.

Catch 22 - Joseph Heller

I see you are fond of Grisham's shittiest novels

My favorite is either The Partner by Grisham or Timeline by Chricton

The Charm School by Nelson Demille may be my favorite non-classic novel
