I am heading to Toyko for work for a month. I will not have much free time, but just curious what are some of the must see attractions.
Any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated as well.

Beware of the anti-white sentiment. You'll get many angry stares out in the streets.

Never been to Tokyo, but my Uncle goes at least once a year for his work.
He says his first few days he always gets sick.

Bad cold, stomach flu a few times.
He goes once a year, and been doing it for over a decade.

Walk around with your nut sack out. It means, "to you I wish many fortunate raisins." You will fit right in.

that's pretty wild, has he seen a doc to pay for a guess, I usually go over there with a group of 14, and I've never heard of any problems

I'm sure he has.
I didn't really know about it until he brought it up the other day in a conversation we were having about traveling abroad.
He said they have colds/viruses that westerners rarely see or have good immunity to.

Kyoto if you have the time.

Never been outside of the airport but I've heard it is a city that is nearly impossible to get around without getting lost unless you've been there a while.

Before you go, practice some common Japanese phrases. You'll be surprised at how Japanese warm up to someone who makes the effort to learn their language.
Also, make it clear that you are there for a short time. Japanese people are strange in that they can be warm to tourists and short-term visitors, but be reserved to foreigners who choose to live there permanently.

I'm headed there myself next week for two months. Thing's I've heard are the Tokyo Fish Market. There are a ton of really cool museums (if your into that like me). I have a list written down somewhere that I'll try to find.

The people of Japan are fond of Americans.
As far as places to go, if you get out of the city, I'd go to the Mt. Fuji area. You could go to the Enoshima area and check out the giant Buddha.
The "American " district, if you want to call it that, is Roppongi. Check out the central areas like Tokyo and Shinjuku stations.
A Japanese baseball game is pretty fun. Check out the Tokyo Giants.

Frisco,
Just spent the Memorial Day weekend in Tokyo. The Tokyo National Museum is nice, as is the surrounding park. The Yomiuri Giants games in the Tokyo Dome are a good time (don't bother with standing room tickets though). Craftheads is a great expat beer and bourbon bar, as is Popeye. Japanese sushi did not sit well with me, but their curry is very, very good. Walk through the red light district (Kabukicho) on the way to Golden-Gai, a city block with over a 100 tiny little bars.

I went to Tokyo when I was around 13, but I remember a few things. It is absurdly clean, efficient, and organized. Japan is crazy homogeneous. You may asked to take pictures with people, especially if you have blonde or light colored hair.
The Tokyo Tower is probably a must see, but I would just Google it and look on travel sites to find the rest. I just do not remember or know from when I was there.
Also, the best suggestion in this thread is to go to Kyoto if you have time. It is my favorite city I have ever been to.

I see nothing strange about this.
