Saints Draft should have looked like the 49ers draft.
We could trade Brees to get all those extra picks like frisco had I quess. Other than the fact they had a crap load of picks do you want their players instead of ours also?

started with 12 picks. we started with 7.
Jimmie Ward - S - they needed a safety
Carlos Hyde - RB - Gore is going downhill...soon (we've been saying that)
Marcus Martin - C - no goodwin, needed a center
Chris Borland - LB - bowman might be out for a while
Brandon Thomas - G - depth and i believe their guards are getting up there. Possibly center as well (compensatory)
Bruce Ellington - WR - needed a WR (4th round)
Dontae Johnson - CB - more competition
Aaron Lynch - DE - smith isn't getting younger
Keith Reaser - CB - more competition
Kenneth Acker - CB - more competition
Kaleb Ramsey - DT - more competition
Trey Millard - FB - possible contributor
We needed help at WR, C, CB, and ILB.
We addressed two big needs in the first 2 rounds. Gave up a 3rd rounder that would have gotten us Bryan Stork who may or may not pan out at center. ILB is a 'for the future' type of pick and we took a late round flyer.
It'd be nice to have 5 picks in the 1st 3 rounds as well, but we only had 3, one of which was traded to get arguably the biggest speedster/playmaker in the draft.
Every base we needed was covered minus Center. If they're confident in Lelito and Goodwin (if he is re-signed) than so be it.
